It’s time for super heroes to come together for a summer adventure in downtown Cambridge. Celebrate your favorite hero or villain as you make you way around town to get up close and personal with super friends from books\, comics\, movies & TV at each participating business.  It’s a day of interactive fun for kids from 3-9 years old. (suggested ages only\, all kids are welcome) \nTickets are $20 per child and include an autograph book\, a bounce house and an opportunity to meet and greet multiple super heroes including local heroes and their vehicles including a policeman\, fireman\, paramedic\, military soldier and more. Each child will be given a special gift and participate in a Ninja Turtle activity at Dance Central. \nThere is NO limit on ticket sales. Parents do NOT need a ticket but are required to walk with their child. Reservations open at 10 am on June 1st.\nMake your reservation here.  \nRegistration begins at 2:30 pm on the sidewalk in front of the Courthouse. \nThis event is being produced by Ohio-Made Getaways in conjunction with Cambridge Main Street and many of the merchants on Wheeling Avenue. DESCRIPTION:If you’ve ever been curious about any of the historic buildings in downtown Cambridge\, this is an event you won’t want to miss! Held monthly on the last Saturday of each month. \nBack by popular demand\, the October tour includes “Underground Cambridge”! Tour includes the building on the corner of N.7th Street & Wheeling Avenue (653 Wheeling Avenue). The tour is guided by a costume interpreter who leads the group from the underground to the top floor of this unique building. Local historian\, Rick Booth will also present a PowerPoint presentation including pictures and history of the National Road and downtown Cambridge. \nTours will be offered at 3 pm. Tour is limited to 20 people. Reservations are highly recommended for this particular tour. Demand is high and tours are expected to sell out. Make your reservation here \nTickets are $20 per person with proceeds to benefit historic preservation efforts in downtown Cambridge. The first project for 2016 is the replacement of the historical plaques which adorn the 33 buildings in the historic district that are included in a self-guided walking tour brochure. SUMMARY:Forgotten Places & Spaces Tour: Underground Cambridge
DESCRIPTION:If you’ve ever been curious about any of the historic buildings in downtown Cambridge\, this is an event you won’t want to miss! Held monthly on the last Saturday of each month. \nBack by popular demand\, the September tour includes “Underground Cambridge”! Tours start at the building on the corner of N.7th Street & Wheeling Avenue (653 Wheeling Avenue). The tour is guided by a costume interpreter who leads the group from the underground to the top floor of this unique building. Local historian\, Rick Booth will also present a PowerPoint presentation including pictures and history of the National Road and downtown Cambridge. \nTours will be offered at 10am and 3pm. Each tour is limited to 20 people. Reservations are highly recommended for this particular tour. Demand is high and tours are expected to sell out. Order your tickets here. \nTickets are $20 per person with proceeds to benefit historic preservation efforts in downtown Cambridge. The first project for 2016 is the replacement of the historical plaques which adorn the 33 buildings in the historic district that are included in a self-guided walking tour brochure. Advance registration is strongly encouraged; walk-ups are limited to space available.
